Meet the teachers

  • Lizzie H.

I got into yoga in 2012 after a therapist suggested it might help my mindset. I gave it a go and was instantly hooked, sometimes practicing at my local studio morning and night! In 2018, I did my first teacher training, then travelled through India, Indonesia, and Cambodia to deepen my practice and understanding.

Now, with over seven beautiful years of teaching in studios, online and on international retreats, I draw from everything I’ve learned to offer classes that are playful, supportive, and open to everyone, no matter where you're starting from.

With a background in contemporary dance, I love to experiment with movement in all its forms, strong, subtle, expansive, quiet. I teach a mix of Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Meditation, and Therapeutic Yoga, but for me what connects them all is this: learning to listen to your body and quiet your mind.

More than anything, I want to create a space that feels welcoming and real. Normal life can feel easily overwhelming, but yoga gives us tools to come back to ourselves and it’s the subtle transformation on the mat that makes a big difference off the mat.

  • Amelia

Starting with Iyengar at age 15, Amelia discovered Ashtanga Vinyasa while studying Biomedical science in London.

Practising in a local community church helped her find a true sense of belonging within isolated city life and drastically improved her well-being and resilience.

Teaching yoga has been a natural progression to enriching Amelia’s holistic health offering, complementing her work in Nutritional Science.

She trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket yoga with Kindred in London. Amelia’s classes are influenced by her foundations in Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa practice, namely Mandala and Rocket.

Designed to challenge and informed by her holistic knowledge of the human form, her classes emphasise functional movement and mindful breath.

She invites playfulness, offering plenty of variations, leaving you feeling empowered, calm, and present.

  • Eva R.

Eva is a certified trauma-informed space holder, and has practiced Scaravelli-inspired yoga since 2002 and been teaching weekly yoga classes since 2019.  The essence of her facilitation is to guide you to cultivate your “felt-sense”, capacity to listen deeply through your body, and to access your body wisdom to enhance health, healing, and emotional and mental well-being. Expect to leave class feeling both energised and rested, more connected with yourself and with an overall sense of well-being.

Rooted in the spirit of inquiry and curiosity, Eva works with yoga postures, embodiment, functional and somatic movement, emotional alchemy, mindfulness, subtle awareness, sounding, meditation, pranayama and breathing practices to foster a rich, varied and sensory experience.  She has a special interest in pelvic floor health.

Eva is also a somatic shadow work coach and a business development and strategic communications specialist in the international development and global health sector. A neurodivergent mother of a neurodivergent and ethnically diverse family, she grew up in South East Asia and competed in international athletics as a child. As a young adult, she trained in Capoeira Angola, a Brazilian martial art, for several years. Her approach is both enriched and imbued with this experience.

  • Izzy G.

Izzy’s passion for movement began in the world of performance, with a degree in acting and a strong foundation in contemporary dance.

As she deepened her connection to the body, she began to understand movement as more than expression, it became a form of healing regulation and inner listening.

She discovered yoga at university and trained shortly after, initially in traditional hatha and vinyasa styles. This laid the groundwork for her teaching and her own embodied practice.

Later she trained in Embodied CPD at Flow State (Hove), a pivotal step that brought her full circle, back to the somatic and contemporary movement that had always been part of her language.

She now teaches through this integrated lens combining breath, presence, and a deep respect for the nervous system. Izzy believes students already hold the innate wisdom of their bodies. Her role is not to instruct from the outside but to help unlock awareness within.

Izzy offers a balanced blend of movement practices that support both strength and softness. Her classes are rooted in body awareness and nervous system care, inviting students to move in ways that feel nourishing and intuitive.

She teaches both stronger and energising flows and slower grounding practices, depending on the needs of the space and those in it.

Sessions often include self-massage, somatic exploration, guided meditation and visualisation. The structure is rooted in Hatha but softened with space for intuitive movement and inner inquiry.

Izzy is also a certified Reiki healing and holistic deep tissue massage therapist and currently training in sports massage and chronic pain treatment.

  • Sabrina

    Sabrina G.

My yoga journey began in 2014, when I attended my first Ashtanga yoga class. Pretty much from my first class I was hooked.

I had always been active - with running, gym, and later acrobatics such as trapeze and Chinese pole. But when I discovered Ashtanga I knew I had found my thing. I loved how physically challenging it felt, but how I would feel so energised afterwards, like floating.

I soon started realising all the benefits of yoga, not just on the mat but also off the mat. Physically I was in better shape than ever, even now in my early forties I can do things I couldn’t do in my twenties!

Mentally, my mood improved and started feeling more peaceful. Yoga became a huge part of my life and kept me going through difficult times.

I did my first teacher’s training in 2015 - I didn’t have the intention of teaching, I just wanted to deepen my knowledge and understanding of yoga, anatomy and philosophy.

At the time I ran my own business, designing and producing apparel for dancers, acrobats and gymnasts and I was doing pretty good. Then a friend said they needed urgent cover at a studio. My first thought was “no way”, but to cut a long story short, I did it and absolutely loved it.

In 2018 I took my first trip to Mysore, India to study under Sri Sharath Jois. I practised under his guidance for 2 months and I was blessed to do a second trip in 2022 for 3 months.

I also had the privilege to practice with senior teacher Philippa Asher, and to do an Ashtanga teacher training with senior teacher David Swenson.

Although I don’t practise so much Ashtanga now a days, Ashtanga will always have a special place in my heart, and it is a great influence in my teaching.

  • Jordan S.

As a teacher, Jordan is all about the balance - both on and off the mat. She has been a student of yoga for well over a decade, and has found the rhythm of a regular yoga practice to be a steadying anchor through many of life’s ups and downs.

After completing her Vinyasa teacher training at Modern Movement in Sydney (under her teachers and mentors Kat Clayton and Mellisa Kitchen), her particular focus has been on finding the sthira and sukha within each yoga ‘pose’.

Going on to train in Yin and Yoga Nidra and learning to honour the slowing down, has given her a deep appreciation for the power of guided rest. Life moves fast enough - what can we find in the moments in between?

Jordan’s classes will lead you through smooth sequencing and yummy flows, working within what feels best for YOUR body.

Whether it’s a fiery, heated Vinyasa or a yummy, nourishing Yin - each practice is held with deep intention. A reminder that your time on the mat - is yours.

  • Stacey L.

My yoga journey began in 2005, during a time when I was seeking a sense of grounding and inner calm. Back then, it was the structure of a strong 26&2 Hot Yoga practice that first gave me an anchor, a way to return to myself through breath, movement & discipline.

In 2013, I completed my training in Hatha Vinyasa, and my practice evolved into something more fluid and intuitive. Since then, I've continued to expand my studies, training in Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, 26&2, Breathwork and Pranayama, Meditation, Sound Healing, Reiki healing and most recently, qualifying as an Ayurvedic practitioner in 2022.

For many years, I balanced yoga teaching with a full-time corporate career. In 2019, I opened a yoga studio and café in Wandsworth, London, an offering from the heart that became a true community space until its closure during the pandemic. That transition led me to France and Switzerland, where I focused on retreats, workshops, and online offerings to stay connected with practitioners in the UK.

In May 2025, I returned to the Sussex coast and am now looking forward to sharing a range of yoga classes and Ayurvedic offerings.

My yoga classes are often guided by the elements and energetic cycles, weaving together yoga and Ayurveda to help balance the natural rhythms of the body with the shifting seasons.

With each practice, I aim to create space for people to reconnect with themselves, gently, intentionally, with curiosity and playfulness.

  • Aneta Z.

Aneta is a professional dancer, capoeira teacher and choreographer. She obtained a double MA degree at Anton Bruckner University in Austria studying movement research and dance pedagogy. She has trained and worked extensively in Brazil, Poland, Austria, Greece and the UK.

She carried out her movement research in Brazil, exploring possibilities to exchange experience between contemporary dance and capoeira. Aneta performed with various dance companies and theaters in Europe and Brazil. She is currently working as a dancer/performer for Beatrice Allegranti Dance Company.

She teaches her unique combination of contemporary dance and capoeira in regular classes and workshops in the UK and internationally in places such as: Rambert Dance, The Place, Dance Cultural Center Athens Danc.c.e, Trinity Laban, Pineapple Studio, London Studio Center, Royal Dance Academy, Trip Space, South East Dance, Escola de Danca Lieria, Centre des Arts et de la Dance France and Academy of Capoeira Barracão da Capoeira in Brazil.

In 2016, she was selected as the main choreographer for the opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture in Poland.

Aneta's classes are partly a culmination of 20 years’ worth of research into exchanging ideas between capoeira and contemporary dance, specifically the dynamic release technique and floor work. These organic forms of movement have at their center a focus on nature, creativity, and improvisation, as well as an emphasis on spiral dynamics and the connection between body, mind and spirit.
In these classes, we will investigate ways to incorporate the total physical awareness necessary in capoeira, whose roots partly lie in the art of fighting, into the more meditative world of release technique.

Through capoeira, I hope to open more opportunities for self-expression within the medium of contemporary dance — using the quality and philosophy behind the movements as inspiration, without direct imitation.

This poetic playfulness and animalistic physicality will provide a new and exciting dimension for dancers alike to explore.
